goodness

it is officially fall!  i, for one, am SO excited.  i am very, very tired of being hot.  i like summer, but it was too much this year.  i think the winter is going to be extra cold this year (at least by North Carolina standards), so i'm going to enjoy all the fall that i can.  we've been celebrating fall's arrival in full force around here... including marshmallow treats of all kinds.  because what says "fall" more than s'mores?!?!

we started with this bottle of amazing:

add to hot chocolate or a mocha, and you have YUM.  i've had one every day for the last week.  it just makes me feel warm and cozy inside.

then, we added some to some homemade ice cream, courtesy of my friend Amy.  topped with a toasted marshmallow, perfection.

on a non-food-related note, i recently heard the best Christmas album you will soon be able to buy.  Smalltown Poets just finished their Christmas record, and it really is amazing.  (and i'm not just saying that because they're my bosses and i have to)   =)  this was my view while listening to the masters as soon as they arrived in the mail.  when i know exact release dates, i will pass them along.  you definitely are going to want this to make your season merry and bright.

that's all for this friday night!  i leave you with this little bit of sweetness.  my puppy fell asleep on my foot, and it was so cute, i had to sneak a picture.  she usually jumps up when she sees the camera pointed at her, but i managed to get one before she noticed.  isn't she precious?

beginnings

hello, world.

allow me to introduce myself.  my name is kelly.  i am 25.

i am married to this guy.  he is wonderful, and i love him a lot.  we met 4 years ago and got married 9 months later.  what more can i say?  love is the best.  he runs a coffee shop and one of my favorite things is hanging out with him there.

we don't have any people babies, only dog babies.  meet hayley (the red one) and shadow (the black one).  they have crazy personalities, think they're people, and keep me on my toes for sure.

i am a farmgirl!  read more about that here.  being a farmgirl is a condition of the heart, and i love the idea of a simple life.  i'm learning more and more about that and am enjoying the journey.

well, that covers the basics! i'll be back later.
